Lucky Me!!


The very talented Emma made this for her childrens Day Care Centre and for just I few dollars and a lot of luck it found it's way to my house!
I usually buy raffle tickets knowing that I am donating money to a good cause as I don't ever actually expect to win....but win I did!! Just look at this!
Emma phoned me just before Christmas to tell me that I had won! I was totally confused at first and I'm still pinching myself, but it is now all mine!! As soon as I add a hanging sleeve I'll share it with Aden to fit in the beach/ocean room! The little turtles are the same ones I used in his nappy stackers!

Thanks Emma it is even better in Real life than it is in the pictures!

OH that's is just beautiful! I love how she incorporated all the different fabrics. I really feel like I'm at the beach when I look at it. It will look great in Aden's room! Congrats! Jenn

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
