We've been on holidays

I'm sure you can guess where!

Kick the Bucket

With the new year comes new challenges....and this year (with a little pushing from my online friends) I have decided to host another.

2012 saw us work on WIP's that we'd started, made plans to start, or bought fabric for and finish something.

2013 saw us focus on the fabric. Use what you had in your stash so that there was more going out than coming in and finish something.

So continuing the 'finish something' theme I'd like to introduce the 'Kick the Bucket' challenge for 2014

We all have that 'crafty' something that has been hanging around in the back of a cupboard or draw for years....right? Those projects that have been on your bucket list for aaaaaaages..... that's the one I'm talking about.

2014 is the year to pull it out, dust it off, work out what needs doing to get it finished and finish it!

I'm not restricting it to fabric this year. If you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, scrapbook, paint, do beading....anything that is started, …

13 in '13 - I love reading!

I made it....just. I've read 13 new adult books this year. Thanks to Miss Dove for the challenge. She has something planned for 2014....but we all have to wait til tomorrow to see what that is!

Here is my list;

1. 'An Elm Creek Quilts Collection' by Jennifer Chiaverini
2. Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James
3. Fifty Shades Darker by EL James
4. A Rose for the ANZAC boys by Jackie French
5. Fifty Shades Freed by EL James
6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
7. Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner
8. Oranges & Sunshine by Margaret Humpherys
9. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
10. Kitty and her sisters by Maureen Lee
11. Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown
12. Swansea Summer by Catrin Collier
13. The Time of my Life by Cecelia Ahern

The last 2 were read during December. And only cause the were the smaller ones on the pile I have growing beside my bed. I didn't particularly enjoy them.

I also currently read Emma by Jane Austin and Jack of Diamonds by Bryce Courtenay

It is the big…

Bring on 2014!

I'm not good at resolutions....I always forget them about a month after I make them. So this year I've decided to just use 3 words to keep me going throughout 2014. POSITIVE A bit of positive thinking will get me through some tricky spots I'm predicting will crop up in 2014. PRODUCTIVE I need to stay on task. Get things done and not take on too much! PASSIONATE

I need to add some passion back to my relationships, my family and my work. I guess 3 little words can make for some very big goals! BRING ON 2014!!
