Mystery Quilt......Sewing Instructions 4

This is the final set of sewing instructions before laying out the quilt for its big reveal...

Feature Blocks
On the right hand side of 9 feaute blocks sew one hourglass block with the B (lighter) triangle against the feature print.



On the remaining 3 feature blocks sew a flying geese (goose??), again onto the right, with the B (lighter) triangle against the feature print.

Mini Pin-wheel blocks
To each side of the pin-wheel block add a flying geese. This time the flying geese are pointing in towards the pin-wheel.

A Summery of the pieces you have

  • 24 flying geese with wings (sqaures sewn on either end)
  • 8 pin-wheel blocks with flying geese attached to either side
  • 9 feature/hourglass blocks
  • 3 feature/flying geese blocks
  • 3 flying geese - not attached to anything
  • 4 dark squares - not attached to anything
  • 5 border strips of feautre fabric

Here is it....sorry it is late!! I thought I had another day to go!! What happenend to Tuesday?? 12 WIP's in 2012

Have you got a quilt top that needs backing and binding? A pile of half-finished blocks? A Table Runner that needs quilting? Some Quilting Bee blocks that require putting together? Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
