Mystery Quilt......Sewing Instructions 2

CBC Unit (Flying Geese)

Attach a C triangle to one of the short sides of triangle B. Lay Triangle B right side up on the table with the right anlge pointing away form you. Lay C down on top with the right anlge clostest to you. You will be sewing along the bias of triangle C, so becareful not to stretch them.




Press seam towards dark colour.

Attach another C triangle to the other side. Again press seam towards dark colour.

Make 46 CBC (Flying Geese) Units

Slow down AJ, your making me feel guilty as I haven't actually started cutting the fabric up yet.I will make a start soon, I promise. It looks good so far - ca not wait to see the finished design.

Flying geese! We knew it! Ad and I were cuting ours up today and thinking, thats a lot of triangles, AJ does love her FG, bet there is FG in it! And wolah! LOL

I am seeing orange & green flying geese everywhere... orange and green when I shut my eyes. Orange and green when I open them...
Think I might jump a step & make up my mini pinwheel blocks & come back to the constantly orange & green flying geese tomorrow :)

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
