2 Weeks

Aden is 2 weeks old today! It feels like we have had him here with us forever...and yet time seems to be going sooooo fast! DH has gone fishing today with his Dad so it was an early start and I should have gone back to bed....but decided to squeeze in the blog instead...I think I will need a nap later today!
Aden went to the beach for the first time this week...I can't say he was overly impressed as he spent most of the time asleep...but Jester loved the attention!


Aden loves his pram....he spent a few hours in it on Tuesday while we shopped for a new car....that we should be picking up tomorrow...so I'll blog it then!

Despite this first picture, Aden loved having his Grandma here and we did too! Thanks for all your help Lyn!

Awwwwww, has he grown a bit already? Lovely shots AJ. I like the second one, you cuddling him at the beach, the way you are holding and comforting him is like you have been a mother always. Enjoy this time, it goes so fast! xx

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
