Aden's first quilt photo!
Not sure if he liked it!

Not much has happenend in the last day....still sleeping and feeding good...and having whing time for an hour or so a day....at different times...so hard to work out....no set routine yet...it changes all the time!

Quilt looks gorgeous, as does the babe! He looks so tiny on it, it's hard to imagine mine were ever that small. I think Madelyn was the same with her first quilt photo, whicfh is why I wrapped her up and did it again - something about being placed on the floor without a wrapping at this age makes them cringe. I am sure he loves the quilt though - so vibrant, fun and happy. I can see him having lots of great play times on that!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
