Nesting....


So far I've washed the dog (after being at the beach this morning and getting all sandy), totally cleaned out and wiped the fridge, did the dishes, washed all the cultery and wiped in the draw, took all the plates/dishes out of the cupboard and wiped the shelves, on to the 3rd load of washing, vacumed the whole house, scrubbed (hands and knees!!) the floors and went food shopping (stocked up on toilet paper...how much is too much toilet paper in the house?!?!)

I want to do some things in the baby's room too today...but first I think I might go have a nap!!

P.S. I got some new bathroom scales today too....they should be more accurate (measures in 100g) so that could be a little scary!!

And I can promise you, you won't remove all the plates and wipe out the cupboards again till the child is over 6 years old! LOL

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
