30 Weeks

Yeah! 3/4 of the way there!! 10 weeks to go!

Most excitingly I got my cot this week! Nic and Beau brought it with them while they visit for a few days. Their arrival will have us in a flurry of visitor right up until the birth! Giving us small 'waits', hopefully making 'the long wait' bearable!

Beau built the cot for us and he has done an excellent job! Since these pics he has added a top rail to give it a really finished look. It is currenlty still in pieces getting the final cot of varnish before it will be reassembled on the weekend. I LOVE it!! Beau has managed to make the base adjustable to two level and added a drop down side!

While Beau was here and with some tools he also fixed the old change table we got given. The draw didn't slide properly but now it does! DH sanded it down ready to varnish too hopefully a similar colour. They should both be back in the Nursery by the weekend!

22 Week comparison...

The OB said everything is on track. Russell is sitting very high up into my rib cage and causing some mild pain of an afternoon/evening nothing too bad. Lying down and stretching out or standing up and stretching relives it a little.

Weight: 75kg!!!

You don't look huge at all! Perfect sized 30 week belly!! The cot looks beautiful. Better get cracking on a quilt for it hey?

I had my boy at this stage. Very small but very healthy.

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
