I'm now a housewife!


It is a very strange feeling...not 'working' anymore. People have been telling me that I will still be working...just getting paid less for a more rewarding job!

7 years at the one school, has now come to an end and I start on a whole new way of life. It is very exciting and a little scary at the same time. I think they will miss me...if not all the work I did there but it was nice to leave on a high note and be appreciated for what I did do.

Sure it is a little bit frightening, the unknown
always is. You will take to it like a
fish to water and do a great job with
your son. I have been following your
blog and am so happy for you and
your husband. Wishes do come

Good luck on your new venture in life! It is a bit of a transition, going from working to housewife, but things settle in eventually... :)

Congratulations on the start of your new job title!! Personally I think it is the hardest but best job in the world, and by far the most rewarding. You will just love it :)

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
