Decision Made....

well sort of....I got fabric for both option 1 and 3....of course DH didn't like any of them....Oh well he can carry the baby and I will carry the bag....babies are heavier than bags aren't they?? I'm getting a 'plain' carrier for Dh to 'babywear' so that should solve that problem....now to find a pram to match the bag!!

I also got the first fabric in option 2....but for a different project...

Opps I know that is a lot of fabric buying lately....and I went to SL this arvo to pick up some extra fabric for 2 commissioned quilts I'm making...cot/play quilts for Foz....I hope she like the fabrics....

I haven't really worked with pastels before...but I enjoyed picking these ones out and they look sooooo sweet and will work perfectly in the design that has been picked.


I of course went over board when it came to picking fabrics for the bright version of the same quilt....and found it hard to reduce it to any less than this number of fabrics...





You'll notice that there is one green short...because I have already cut out the squares I need and used the last of one of my favourite green swirls...but trust me it works!

Your post looks like a beautiful rainbow. Maybe you should do a scrap quilt with all the leftovers - it would be gorgeous! LOL at DH not liking any of the combinations!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
