Quillow - started

I promised Mum a Quillow (Quilt that folds into a Pillow - for those that don't know) for Christmas...I finally started it today....I'm using 3 charm packs of Za Za fabric.
I was going to make a Disappearing 9-patch but it works out to be a bit too small for what I want....I have a jelly roll in the same fabric...but how to include it??? Huummmmm thinking thinking.....

Here is it....sorry it is late!! I thought I had another day to go!! What happenend to Tuesday?? To make up for my error I have three sets of fabrics to giveaway...just let me know which one you want! Set 1. A ramdom mix of everything - brights, retro, spots, asian - a mix of sizes too....1/2 metre to smaller than a FQ Set 2. So not me! Country wovens! Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!

12 WIP's in 2012

Have you got a quilt top that needs backing and binding? A pile of half-finished blocks? A Table Runner that needs quilting? Some Quilting Bee blocks that require putting together? A husband that thinks you have too many projects on the go at once? Got a pile of WIP’s you’d like to see finished? I say YES to all of the above and if you do too why not join me on a 12 WIP’s in 2012 challenge! Starting in January you can challenge yourself to finish 1 WIP a month.
