Almost finished....

I worked on this quilt top for Foz this weekend instead of getting ready to head back to work tomorrow...It still has one more white border to add to the outer edge...I love the simplicity of it and the colours of course...I hope Foz likes it too...I will start on the pastel one soon...the fabric is cut out ready to go! (crappy night photo - sorry)

In between quilting I cooked dinner...a rarity in this house as DH always does it...but I have to put up these pictures for Mick... Pork Chops glazed with Melrose Mango Sauce...and oh so delicious!! You'll have to try it next time you visit!

Your quilt is gorgeous - I would have been nrevouse with the brights but I love it - especially the multicoloured border!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
