Aden's first 'Mummy made' clothing!






As you can see the buttons and buttons holes haven't been added yet. But Aden woke just as I was ironing them. Not bad for cutting and sewing during sleep time (just over 2 hrs). Not sure I like the pattern on Aden though...I added 5.3cm to the length to make them long overalls and I think I'll need to add some more length in the crouch to account for the cloth nappy.

Look good but like you say maybe some more length in the rise for the cloth nappy. The sizing looks big for him?? I'm not sure that they are meant to be a long overall, maybe mid leg. Susan

Awww, he looks so cute in his mummy made gear!

I can't get over how big he looks, especially in overalls. He is almost a little boy instead of a bay.

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
