A growing stash....??


I've been feeling a bit 'fabric blue' lately....everyone else seems to be buying up these wonderful bargins left right and centre and I've got none...:( and nore can I afford any with IVF payments and so forth....

I know I had more fabric lying around here somewhere and sure enough when I went looking I found a nice big bag full in the laundry waiting to be washed...and so wash and iron it I did....


40 metres of it!!

Opps now I'm not feeling so fabric poor...admittedly most of it is to finish quilt tops that have already been started...so that doesn't count right??

And then I went the whole hog and cleaned up the sewing area and stash...this is all that a have of sewing stuff... I think..?!?

I'm still not sure how anyone coluld misplace 40 faboulous metres of quilt fabric!!! That's really quite a stash you have; and nice and neat, too!

Finding 40 metres of fabric in ones laundry is a great way to cure those fabric buying blues!

That's funny... now how do I find 40M of fabric in my laundry? I know I will go to mum's laundry LOL!!!

Here is it....sorry it is late!! I thought I had another day to go!! What happenend to Tuesday?? {3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
