Tagged...again

I had been tagged by Helen before...I tried to ignore it...as I couldn't think of 7 things to write (still can't)... but now Natalie has tagged me too so I guess I will have to play along...

• Start with 7 random facts/habits about yourself

1. I love my middle name and plan on calling my daughter it one day....lucky DH agrees
2. I've always wanted 6 kids...we'll have to wait and see...this one DH doesn't agree on!!
3. I love quilting but have only been doing it for 3 1/2 years...I'd love to make an art quilt one day...just don't know if I'm 'arty' enough...lol

4. I don't like seafood cause I can't stand the smell of it...I think if I could get past the smell I might like it
5. I only iron when I'm in the mood...that said I iron everything...Therefore I have a huge ironing pile all the time!!!I hate clothes being wrinkly...
6. I hate the way I dress.....twenty years older than I am...
7. The towels in my linen cupboard must be folded the right way....if someone does them wrong I take then out and re-fold them!!

BTW I hear you loud and clear on the towel thing too - I saw Steve trying to fold them the other day and I almost yelled at him to leave the alone lol!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
