My big boy!

How beautiful is my big boy getting!!

This was last night


and this is tonight!

He was an angel going to bed! After I tucked him in an d turned out the light, he got out of bed and came to the door and called out, but didn't come out of his room. I went in and put him back in bed and stayed for a minute. He started to cry as I left the room and we could hear him come to the door again although this time he didn't open it. Still crying we could hear him move away from the door and then less than 30 seconds later the crying stopped. I thought I would go in to find him asleep on the floor or mattress we tucked under the edge of the bed in case he fell out... nope! Fast asleep, tucked back in bed cuddling his puppy (upside down!)
Photo taken in complete darkness as we had a blackout out for 20 mins, sever thunderstorm and still he slept!

I love my big boy!

That is when you know they are for sure growing up, he will be driving before you know it now. Enjoy it while it lasts.

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
