{Pinterest} Totally Pinspired


You know about Pinterest right??? You don't? Well let me tell you, you are missing out on some seriously cool stuff!
So I have this group of online friends - imaginary friends, as my husband likes to call them - and we seem to like the same sort of stuff. Really that's what friends are right - people who like the same stuff that you do.
Anyway Miss Dove has decided that pinning said cool stuff is not enough and we need to actually start doing some of the cool stuff.
So she has challenged us to make 2 things each month, big or small, from our Pinterest boards.

Because September is already half over just 1 project this month will be fine.

That is SUCH a good idea! I am notorious for pinning things and then never actually doing them! I have to say I am kind of missing your WIP challenge this year. Last year I finished so much because I knew I had the 12 projects in 12 months to spur me on. This year the quilt productivity is at an all time low!

{3rd Birthday} Octonauts party

It has been a week two weeks since Aden's Octonauts party and I think I have recovered enough to post about it. Special thanks to my sister for gabbing my camera and my MIL and SIL for their cameras, as I didn't take any all day! Aden is a massive Octonauts fan! So when he didn't go for my initial plan of a 'Monsters' Party ( too scary Mummy!) we decided on Octonauts. I did a lot of Internet searching and looking at a lot of Pintrest posts to gather all my ideas together.  There was lots of party food including Octonaut Cupcakes. Cake toppers from Ebay  And a Kwazii cake as requested by the birthday boy! I totally forgot to put on the Octopus I had for his hat!! We also had yellow/green/blue jelly cups with turtles in them and smarties cookies. As well as regular party food and hot finger food for the adults. Mummy wiping Aden's face before having cake photos! We had balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

Bloggers Quilt Festival - Spring 2010

Amy is hosting a Quilt Festival! You get to see so many beautiful quilts all in the one place in the comfort of your own home...or work desk as the case may be! All you have to do is share a quilt you have made! I'm going to share this quilt.... from a pattern yes but I loved making it! Choosing the fabrics was fun...playing with colours mixing them up...changing my mind...I tried to be true to life but it ws hard with the bright fabrics... I had a border dilema that was fixed by some helpful friends! Progress pic... All the animals finished Of course it helps to love a quilt when your making it for a very special little girl! I'm keen to make this one again...just to play with the fabrics!!
