Noodle likes helping

Noodle decided to help me with my work tonight. After sitting on the mouse to makeit more difficult she then attacked the pencils and pens I was writing with. Here she is proof reading my report for me...

My Noodle and the 'pink spew blanket'

Image
I haven't posted about Noodle for a while so I thought I would...I didn't have to look far to find her...She was (and still is) curled up asleep in the corner of my study/sewing room on top of these quilts...Now these quilts have a story all of their own, well one of them does anyway...and I thought I'd share it with you! These blankets were made by my Mum's mum's Sister-in-Law....Aunty Una. She also made us other great things as kids like doona covers (do you remember those Bee and Cee!!) and floor cushions. She made four of them, one for each of us kids and they were and still are a great size for traveling. Anyway this one day they did travel with us...from home to Byron Bay, where we were visiting our relatives. To get to Byron Bay before they changed the road, you had to go up and over this winding range. It just so happened that we stopped at a servo before getting to that part of the trip and my youngest sister insisted, at the age of about 3, that she could ...

How lovely to have a cat that loves fabric as much as I do!! Nikita loves nothing more than to snuggle into some freshly laid out fabric...even better if it already washed ready to be used...this time she found where I keep cut fabric....she chased this shoebox around the room until it was in position under the ironing board near where I'm sitting....then opened the box....jumped in and settled down....then proceeded to start snoring!!! By the way....there is fabric in that box that I need to make into a quilt...guess I better wash the quilt in case the person who gets it isn't good with cat hair

Garden Buddies

Image
This year the kids have to take the Garden Buddy, ie the tog dog named Rover, home to explore their gardens as part of our Science Unit 'Plants in Action'. So setting the example here is Rover visiting our garden. Do you think Noodle liked having an intruder in her garden?? Jester...what do you think he is thinking?

Thanks 'Grandma'!!

Image
Dear Grandma Thanks for the treats you sent us for Christmas. They were delicious!! We chowed down on them straight way. I especially liked the quail egg in my chicken, which I put on the floor to eat it properly. And I like the big box of biscuits,so that I get one everyday. Thanks Grandma Love Jester and Nikita

Colourful Cabins

Image
Finished putting this quilt top together today....the second of my log cabin quilts...I think I will get this one professionally quilted just for the sheer size of it. It is layed out over our Queen bed here....will go on the double bed in the spare room.... Don't you think Noodle is rather possive of this quilt?? Check out her facials!! It will eventually be hers as she spends a lot of time curled up on the spare bed!

My cat likes to hide in boxes!!

I loved that book as a kid....and now I have one!!

Dam Cat!!

Image
Was off sick today from work and couldn't justify all the 'free' time without some sewing..so I worked on my Raggedy Edged Quilt...and real 'no-brainer' when it comes to sewing....I lay it out on the floor and of course who should test it out but Noodle!!!

What a silly noodle!! Nothing keeps her more intertained than a bit of water in a bottle!!
